Dual Site Support using GoldenGate
In order to meet the requirements of the increasing number of customers wishing to implement a dual-site production environment, GoldenGate and ACI Worldwide joined forces and designed a standard product solution. To support this design, ACI Worldwide has introduced additional functionality to version 4 of BASE24 6.0.
ACI defines a dual site production environment when production transactions are split between two separate HP NSK machines, with any single machine capable of handling all transactions. The bi-directional replication of configuration, customer and transaction data between the two sites is fundamental to provide contingency of a dual site system.
The enhancements made available in Release 6.0 version 4 facilitate dual site operation in conjunction with a third party product such as GoldenGate. GoldenGate is used to undertake the replication of transactions or data between the two sites and the enhancements to BASE24 6.0 are intended to provide support for processing options that will allow and simplify the configuration and operation of a dual site environment.
